It is quite fascinating to hear how people know about the services we offer. However sometimes there is a twist to the story and this is one we wanted to share with you.
Back in November 2017, we were at a beautiful cliff top garden venue overlooking the River Murray, when I happened to hear the most amazing vocals of a singer playing her guitar. She was out of site from our mobile caravan bar and I noticed guests were equally impressed with her singing.
As with all wedding celebrations, we are kept very busy at the start of the event and so it was lovely when a woman came up to me and asked for a business card. She said she was getting married in 2020 and wanted our mobile bar at her Adelaide wedding. She was yet to organise her vendors but having seen our Miss Fisher she was ‘sold’. She then introduced herself as Tanya Henry the singer! I was so thrilled because I had secretly been hoping we would meet again because she was so, so lovely and now she was giving us the honour to serve at her wedding.
Well, fast forward and after months and months of planning on the part of Tanya and her fiancé Anthony we are suddenly faced with COVID19. Tanya knew she needed to be flexible and as her best friend and coordinator explained, “Tanya what you have planned is now out the window and we need to reassess everything”
For many brides this would have put them in a spin, but school teacher Tanya took the steps to ensure appropriate measures would be put in place to adhere to safe distancing and hand sanitisation for guest safety. Her chosen venue of White Hill Estate gave her the opportunity to take advantage of the beautiful spacious gardens to erect a tipi style tent and to style the venue in such a way that permitted guests ample space. Low tables, rugs, bundles of cushions and blankets created a relaxed setting for guests to lounge in comfort with a prosecco and beer while the sun set in the crimson sky
The ceremony was conducted alongside the pond with willow trees providing shade from the afternoon sun. Guests then ventured up the lawns to the Chaff Shed at White Hill Estate where the patio area had a band and delicious pre dinner cuisine. The Bride created food stations, and lounge areas with the mission to have guests mingling and socialising safely.
We adopted a Covid safety plan with our bar service with strict adherence to glass hygiene. Thank goodness for our commercial glass washer!
The food truck vendors delivered an incredible selection of food options with guests being able to choose from the menu boards and receive their meals with no additional handling. The menu itself played homage to Tanya and Anthony's favourite foods and received lots of compliments from guests. No hungry guests at this wedding!
Tanya, Anthony and family styled the venue with hired vintage pieces and made the most of the views including an incredible sunset as guests took advantage of the balmy evening.
Guests were completely unaware of all the impromptu changes that needed to be made when Covid restrictions were announced. As with all successful events, having a great team of vendors who work together and who are committed to making their client’s day as special and memorable as possible, is truly the icing on the cake.
Planning a wedding sometimes involves last minute changes when even the Plan B will not be an option. Covid did just that. But there will always be a solution if great minds work together.
Mr and Mrs Fieg, you delivered an incredible celebration with poise and calm and your guests felt totally spoilt. Congratulations!
